Squeezio exists because shrinking a photo or a video shouldn't require an account, a subscription, or handing your files to a stranger's server.
Why we built Squeezio
Most people run into the same small problem over and over: a photo is too large to email, a video won't fit a messaging app's upload limit, or a website is loading slowly because of oversized images. The usual fixes — installing desktop software or uploading files to yet another web service — felt heavier than the problem itself. Squeezio was built to make compression as light as the files it shrinks.
How it works
Rather than sending your images and videos to a remote server, Squeezio processes everything directly in your browser. Photos are resized and re-encoded using the browser's native Canvas engine, and videos are compressed with a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg running locally on your device. That means faster results, no file ever leaves your computer, and there's no paid API or cloud infrastructure standing between you and your compressed file.
